Maintenance of glass curtain walls

Therefore, curtain wall maintenance must be carried out when the building is delivered and used for more than 10 years. Sampling inspections of silicone structural sealants on different parts should be conducted, followed by inspections every three years.


In addition to routine maintenance of glass curtain walls, specialized institutions must be contacted for testing, identification, and maintenance of curtain walls in the following special situations: abnormal use of the curtain wall is discovered; abnormal deformations, detachment, and cracking occur in panels, connecting components, and local walls; structural safety hazards are detected in the main building structure; damage due to natural disasters such as typhoons, strong winds, and earthquakes or safety accidents such as fires and explosions.
